ESTABLISHED 2004 · ROOTED IN LUCEDALE

An old gas station comes back to life.

In 2004, Joel and Eris Turner gave an old gas station on Highway 198 a second life. They renovated it into Goobers: a laundromat that felt right at home in Lucedale.

For more than twenty years, everyday laundry has brought people through these doors. Neighbors have traded stories, children have grown up, and a seat on the porch has turned a wait for the dryer into a visit.

Joel and Eris made a practical place with a personality. The wood paneling, turquoise walls, picnic tables, and little curiosities are all part of it. Today, Eris and the family keep Goobers going, with the same welcome and down-to-earth prices.

Yes. You wash and dry your own laundry using our top-loading or front-loading washers and dryers. Call if you have a question about a particular load.

What can I do while I wait?

Take a seat indoors or on the covered front porch. There’s Wi-Fi, snack and drink vending, and a few arcade games to help pass the time.
